From Breton style sweaters to nautical dresses, stripes have been a strong andclassic feature of many pieces throughout the ages. They’re not just for those preppycardigans or pinstriped suits either. This season, in particular, stripes have come backin a big way, and they’re begging to be worn.

The great thing about this season’s batch of stripes is that they have no limits. Fromsoft, broad stripes in similar shades to asymmetrical hues, anything goes! Of course,moderation can be good too, and it’s a good idea not to have too much else goingon when you wear a bold, striped piece. Compliment a bold diagonal striped wrapskirt with a light, draped top in a neutral colour with some simple pumps or flats insolid colours and natural make up. Or add a little extra colour to a bold striped maxidress, with a waist belt and bright heels.
