Rocking one colour from head to is the fashion order of the day. Here’s how to perfect the look.
It’s slimming!
The sleek silhouette created by wearing one colour from head-to-toe is perfect for those curvier ladies and if you’re too shy to wear a verbose, bold colour, a simple black, grey or even white pantsuit combination will create the desired affect without drawing too much attention to yourself. Accessorise with a cool set of brogues, an embellished collar (how much do you love them?), a sleek bag and you’re ready to take that job interview by storm!
Be bold
Make an impact in a bold, bright colour! Hues such as emerald green, sunny yellow and, we’re not joking, orange have been spotted on the red carpet recently and we’re simply loving it! If you can’t find a heel to match your outfit (we’re sure you’ll find the excuse though), a nude heel or pump would tone down your look and still make a lasting impression.
Pretty in pink
If you’re a bit wary of attempting an entire outfit in one colour, pick items of clothing within the same colour palate. For example, pink skinnies with a light pink blouse and white blazer accessorised with sweet pumps and simple jewels are simple, flattering and oh so sweet. Feminine pastels such as mint green, light yellow and baby blue are popping up in the northern hemisphere as spring sets in, so take note for your future spring outfits!
Androgy-nice
Okay, lame word play! But the monochromatic trend really does go hand in hand with the more masculine, androgynous trend that we’ve all become acquainted with in recent fashion shows. So suit up in a bright pantsuit or trousers and blouse and show them ‘em just how to work it!
